The Person Behind the Company

Sariva is built by people who have walked through hundreds of Nigerian hospitals — and seen what breaks equipment, and what makes it last.

Founder, Sariva

Professional Background: Before founding Sariva in 2019, Hussaina spent more than a decade in commercial and product management roles across leading hospital equipment companies in Nigeria — JNCI, Emzor, Crown Healthcare, and Sariva. Her work in those companies took her into hundreds of Nigerian hospitals and gave her the audit base on which Sariva was eventually built.

Educational Background: Her background bridges clinical and commercial — a Master's in Marketing and Communications combined with an undergraduate background in Human Anatomy. This combination is rare in the Nigerian equipment industry, allowing Sariva to approach supply as a clinical-business hybrid.

Geographic Roots: From Kaduna, sharpened in Lagos, writing publicly on LinkedIn about patterns observed in Nigerian healthcare equipment.

Personal Motivation: Hussaina's work is informed by the loss of her father in an under-equipped ICU. The story shapes the company's mission but is shared selectively.

Vision Statement: Her vision: building Nigeria's first Healthcare Equipment Acquisition and Sustainment company, a category previously nonexistent in the country.

In Her Own Words

"I did not set out to build a category. I set out to do equipment supply differently — because I had spent ten years watching it done badly, and I knew it could be done well. The category language came later, when I realised that what we were doing did not have a name yet. So we named it. Sariva exists to make the system real. That is not a slogan. It is a daily discipline. Every deployment is run as if my father might walk into the resulting hospital tomorrow. Most days, this work is unglamorous — maintenance logs, vendor coordination, behavioural training cycles. Some days, it is a Medical Director calling to say the equipment we installed three years ago is still working. Those are the days that make the discipline worth it."
